POWERPLAY/TV EVERYWHERE ALT HOMEPAGE
PROOF OF CONCEPT

An exploration project into improving discovery in an existing product, Powerplay. Powerplay is a search & discovery product that is a rich, HTML-5-based experience, where subscribers can view their TV favorites across multiple platforms (live, TVEverywhere, video on-demand and over-the-top), while cable providers enjoy a new monetization opportunity. With a redesigned landing page, search, and content page, the emphasis is placed on discovering more content to watch, and being able to access chosen content more quickly.
I collaborated with a developer in my spare time to come up with a simple proof of concept for delivering content at random while maintaining the grid that I had created. See the proof of concept, and refresh the page multiple times to see different page layouts.
| Branding & Identity
Since Powerplay is a TV product that is heavily involved with watching content, there's a subtle reference to a play icon within the logo. The logo is versatile since it is a strong mark, allowing the logo adapt to different scenarios of where the logo may be used.

UEstate, a startup focused on real estate with big plans to shake up the industry. This conceptual website reflected the visual design of the startup and aimed to attract new homeowners with a modern feel.

For a class project, we were encouraged to create a solution for anything that included gamification. Scoutmaster is a fictional iPhone application that would help keep track of any Scout's progress to become the ultimate Scout. This application has the potential to revolutionize the Boy Scouts and bring it into the 21st century.

The "Adventure on the Tracks" campaign for Amtrak focuses on bringing Amtrak to first class. This social media campaign aims to encourage that rail travel is fun and trains can be an ideal eco-friendly solution to society's problems while integrating the use of technology.

Winter 2013 | Class Project / Interactive Installation | Concept, Programming
Every person that walks through this doorway will trigger the an ultrasonic sensor to light up the ceiling! The colors are dependent on the person's distance from the sensor and how many people have walked by. The sensor is hooked up to an Arduino board which receives input from the sensor and controls the lights.
I'm simply an aspiring design geek with a passion in all kinds of futuristic stuff with a dash of entrepreneurship. I am looking for an opportunity to be a part of a company that's not afraid to be forward-thinking and industry-changing.
Whenever I'm not sitting in front of a computer, I'm probably playing sports, outside enjoying nature, enjoying some quality brews, or counting trains passing by!
